A limited understanding of others poses a constraint to knowing them fully. In this project, A Limited Understanding of Others, I asked people from Senior Thesis class to take two description surveys, one about people in the class, and another about what they want other people to know regarding themselves. Then, I applied the responses to the first survey inside the walls of boxes and placed an elephant in each box. Written on the elephant are the responses to the second survey. The box is managed with no ceiling, but one or few different size holes in the walls. Viewers can see the descriptions through the hole/holes, and see the words on the elephant from above. The size of the hole in the wall of the box collates to the number of times a certain adjective is used.
